Unearthed Video Shows Marjorie Taylor Greene Has Been Psychotically Stalking AOC for Years
Most elected officials come to Washington with a goal in mind. Some want to make life better for their constituents. Some want to slash corporate taxes. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was sworn in as a freshman representative in January, clearly had a different sort of objective—to be declared the most unhinged, batshit-crazy member of Congress in recent history. And just four months into her first term, she’s nailed it.
Days after Greene aggressively accosted Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the Capitol, following the New York representative down a hallway shouting, “You don’t care about the American people,” and, “Why do you support terrorists and antifa?” before calling her “pathetic” and a “chicken,” CNN’s KFile unearthed a deleted video from February 2019 showing Greene and others taunting AOC’s staff outside the congresswoman’s office. (On the way there, Greene tells the camera, “We’re going to go see, we’re going to visit, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Crazy eyes. Crazy eyes. Nutty. Cortez.”) Finding the door locked, Greene and her companions speak through the mail slot, telling the congresswoman to come out. (It’s not clear if Ocasio-Cortez was actually in the office at the time.) “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I’m an American citizen,” Greene says. “I pay your salary through the taxes that you collect for me through the IRS because I’m a taxpaying citizen of the United States…. So you need to stop being a baby and stop locking your door and come out and face the American citizens that you serve. If you want to be a big girl, you need to get rid of your diaper and come out and be able to talk to the American citizens. Instead of having to use a flap, a little flap. Sad.” One of Greene’s companions creepily adds, “You can’t stay in there forever. Come out and play.”
According to KFile, with Greene that day at the Capitol was Anthony Aguero, a former congressional candidate who just happened to be inside the Capitol during the January 6 insurrection. As Greene and her pals leave Ocasio-Cortez’s office, Greene taunts: “Bye. Bye. Bye, AOC. Ocasio-Cortez. Bye, bye, baby. Bye-bye, baby. Bye-bye, little baby girl. Ocasio-Cortez—she went and hid. She couldn’t take it.”
In an email to CNN, the Georgia representative suggested there was nothing wrong with her deeply disturbing behavior, saying: “Members of Congress and all government employees are employed by the taxpayers of this country. Holding the government accountable to the people is what I’ve always believed in.” On Friday, Ocasio-Cortez told reporters that Greene is “deeply unwell and clearly needs help. And her kind of fixation has lasted for several years now.” She added that this “raise[s] concerns for other members…. I think that this is an assessment that needs to be made by the proper professional.” She also tweeted that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has “worked to protect this person from consequences (including pretending he doesn’t see it).”
According to KFile, the day the video was shot was the same day that Greene showed up at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office demanding that she be impeached for treason and suggested she should be executed. (In both 2018 and 2019, Greene showed support for the executions of multiple Democrats, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, as well as FBI agents.) On that same day Greene visited California rep. Maxine Waters’s office and claimed she was “just as guilty” of treason as Pelosi. Additionally, she made pit stops at the offices of then freshman representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, during which she incorrectly claimed the women weren’t “official” because they had been sworn in on the Quran. In September 2020, Greene posted a picture online of herself holding a gun next to images of Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Tlaib, telling people to go on “offense against these socialists.”
